I will switch to writing english from now on, just because it's easier for me than translating all my writing every time. I know my english isn't perfect, but you'll just have to deal with that ;)
I arrived in Sydney on Tuesday night with a bunch of other backpackers. We were all pretty exhausted after the 21-hour-flight from Frankfurt, so we checked in quickly and went to sleep directly after.
The next morning, we started off the day with a beach walk from Coogee Beach to Bondi Beach, that was 6 km long. As we were such a big group taking the walk, it took us about 6 hours to get to Bondi Beach, passing six other beautiful beaches such as Bronte Beach, Maroubra Beach and Clovelly Beach. The coast line there was really impressive and soo beautiful! Fortunately we had a little break at every beach, so I could let my tourist-me get crazy with the camera.
I'm sorry for the weird greenish optics of some of the pictures, my
camera had some crazy filter turned on that I first didn't notice...
Yesterday, we first went to the organisation's office to pick up our sim cards and write our CV's. Later that day, me, Gina and Vanessa (two awesome girls I met at the hostel) made a quick visit to Sydney's most famous buildings: The Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.
It was really impressive, although I honestly thought the Opera House would be bigger... The weather was really windy and quite cold, so we didn't stay long. But I'm definately going there again some time, but then in the evening, when everything is illuminated with spotlights!
I'm leaving monday for the surf camp, I'm already "trothing", as Adam, a super experienced surfer we met today at the office, called the feeling when you're extremely excited about something.
I'll keep you up to date if something shocking happens! :D
Ik hoop dat je nog veel van die "troting moments" krijgt dit jaar...je blijven verheugen op van alles wat komen gaat...keep calm and rock on Globerocker! 😘
